ABC passed on it, and apparently FOX had to decide between this and a classic FOX sitcom as a 1999-2000 midseason replacement. FOX made the right choice.

And what's the deal with the gruesome animated character which was clearly a blatant ripoff of the Whammy? All this use of the word 'it' is giving me a headache, just like when I first saw It.

The ratings for this wouldn't be good, but better things would come for Kevin in the following year thanks to a cast opening on another CBS drama.
