17-thousand Wellington City Council street lights aren't equipped to cope with strong wind gusts, and are now getting a fix up. The adaptor on the LED lights, installed in 2018, has broken on a number of lamps -- causing 17 to smash to the ground, and 161 to droop. The lights were tested with weights that did not move.
