Petersfield Community Centre, a landmark of the town

Petersfield Community Association was formed in 1964. The former Civil Defence premises was brought from Hampshire County Council in 1968 for £10k. The centre is a meeting point for many societies and organisations. The building has changed over the years with the addition of the club room and exhibition room and new entrance at the front has not changed the overall character of the building. It was an evening of celebration for many volunteers that go over and above for the local community. Amongst the award winners was the Hometown Festival team and the Petersfield Lions. Town Annual Meeting’s Crowded Agenda speaks to plenty...

Around 100 people attended the Town meeting on Tuesday 4 March. Reports came from the main committees, like the Festival Hall plan, the new Heath toilet and changing block, as well as briefings on devolution and the South Downs National Park plan. Council budget is agreed at East Hampshire
