Leaders of Today: From Teens to Titans

As a teacher in New Hampshire I had never heard of the selective enrollment process.  I learned a lot in preparing for this interview.  Here is a link if you would like to know more as well! I want you to remember that Georgia is only an eighth grader, and we even sometimes forgot that during the interview.

Emma was a high school freshman when she was first asked to organize the event Dancing With The Staff. This event included five staff couples who were taught two dance routines by student dance instructors. Her event raised over $5,000 towards student scholarships. She was 14 years old - she learned that she already had leadership skills and built on them. Leadership is a very important aspect of Emma's life. As a leader, she tries hard to break the mold of the stereotype of “I’m better than you.”

So many schools are going test optional due to COVID.  Taylor and Lorraine chat about standardized tests, connecting with teachers, developing the network from college and so much more.  We hope this episode gives you a little background on who we are.
