A new study suggests sugary fruit juices and fizzy drinks may be linked to a higher likelihood of strokes. The findings, from global research studies by University of Galway and McMaster University Canada, found that both fizzy ‘soda pop’ beverages, either with sugar or artificially sweetened, increase stroke risk by 22%, and fruit juices by 37%.
