And it didn't go so bad. The new neighbors had a U-Haul in their driveway. I mowed the side of the house and didn't look over at them once because, you know, making eye contact would mean I'd have to stop and talk to them! So I didn't. And as a reward, one of them followed me to my house and introduced himself. Since I felt like a complete moron for not having done that first (since it's the polite thing to do), I told him I'm autistic and struggle with socializing. Feel
