The story unfolded itself as I narrated it during her lunch time. But for the hero other events are my ideas. This is part 1 of the story. A Thumb sized boy gets lost while on a picnic. When I was young my Athai used to tell this with so much sound effects that we would sit glued on floor waiting for the moment when the sparrow would finally makes the monkey realise it’s folly . Especially the “ kathadikkuthu ... “ one. It still holds good with my granddaughter and thrills her. I am sure lots of Generations will pass and still it may continue to grab the minds of kids.
