The Reel Pineapple

Thirteen years. 900 episodes. Zero filter. Host Joshua Hunter breaks down new releases, revisits cult classics, and says exactly what he thinks — no hype, no pandering, no pretending a bad movie is good just because it"s popular. Expect deep-dive film history, candid interviews with filmmakers and industry voices, and a laid-back, nerdy energy where conversations go wherever they want to go. Whether he"s tearing apart an overrated blockbuster or defending an underappreciated gem nobody else will,

The Reel Pineapple ·

Florence Pugh is so good that she's great in this piece of garbage, I mean......maybe it's a good movie? If only Olivia Wilde & Katie Silberman had been more booksmart, and read some more horror before putting this film together, this might've worked out better......I mean maybe it's a good movie lol. Rounded out by an all star cast including Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, and Willem Dafoe, and Toni Collette, check out our review for Nightmare Alley!

Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret Review

The Reel Pineapple ·

2023/09/03

While I understand why Marvel would want to "age up" Cassie Lang in the form of Kathryn Newton, there's a chemistry between Rudd & Abby Ryder Fortson was amazing. With that said, she's moved onto a new franchise with Are You There God, It's Me Margaret starring the aforementioned Abby Ryder Fortson and Rachel McAdams, has Ryder as the titular character navigating everything from a new town, to boys, and growing up. Directed by Kelly Fremon Craig, the director of my favorite film of 2016 in The
