Buriton Pond has an island as a haven for wildlife

Buriton Pond has been cleared of silt and weeds. With the aid of a floating digger, it produced over 200 cubic metres of slit making it a healthier home for native species. Karaoke, Chess and St Peter's

Home Start Butser is 28 years old and going strong!

Local family support organisation Home Start Butser is 28 years old in February this year. They have supported thousands of people over that time and are recruiting volunteers now for their next training course in March. Edward Thomas Fellowship Poetry Prize winners announced

There were 300 entries for this annual award and the judge, award winning poet Daljit Naga, chose a winner from the 50 shortlisted. The First Prize went to Suzanna Fitzpatrick for her NHS inspired ‘This Spring’. Joint Second Prizes– Monica Kendall for ‘North Downs Way’ and John Saddler for ‘Wild Garlic Pickers’.
