The MBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting that involved several agencies in Jefferson County. Law enforcement officers were called to a local hospital to talk to a woman with a gunshot wound. Investigators learned she'd been shot at a home on Crosby Road. When officers went to the home, the suspect displayed a gun, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. The unidentified suspect was critically injured and taken to a local hospital. None of the officers involved was hurt.
