According to police reports, a group of females were fighting on Lilly Circle, and when Demond Tayveion Ross tried to break it up, he was beaten by several people who had gathered to watch. He died after being hit by a vehicle when another assault victim tried to flee the scene. Three people have been charged with aggravated assault, and those charges are expected to be upgraded pending the results of an autopsy.
