Sir Marbles and Stan head off in McGregor's Speed Mobile, but the car isn't very speedy at all. It's hardly moving. Stan visits the stable to borrow horses from the stable hand Cockney Bob, while Princess Poppy asks the royal engineer Sofia Pandelis if she can help speed up the Speed Mobile. Sir Marbles returns home and lights his fireplace at last. His friend Sir Duffer offers to drive him to Princess Poppy's castle in his wagon, but it's slow-going with Old Nancy the horse pulling the load. Bunny the Wizard casts a spell to power up Old Nancy and they zip to the castle lickety-split. Sir Marbles asks Poppy and her father the King about the mysterious Sceptre of Abugo Shemanu, and learns that it is an ancient artefact from the sunken city of Abugo Shemanu, once a place of great magic

Sir Marbles runs into an old sailor named Old Boris, who agrees to take them home on his ship Old Betty. But Old Betty is literally falling apart, and Bunny needs to cast a protection spell to prevent the ship from sinking. A crew of pirates approach and board Old Betty, capturing Old Boris and Sir Marbles. Stan sneaks aboard the pirate ship and rescues a captive named Stumpy the Hedgehog. Stumpy becomes furious when called a chicken nugget, and beats up the pirates.

Sir Marbles and Stan discover a magic lamp in the cave. A genie named Laszlo pops out and falls into Sir Marbles' service, but the knight refuses to use his three wishes. Stan finds another lamp and makes wishes, bringing his toy bunny to life as a wizard. Stan finds another artefact just as the Black Wizard arrives, hypnotising Sir Marbles and ordering him to turn over the artefact, which happens to be the powerful sceptre of Abugo Shemanu.
