Having been able to avoid the Roc twice, the party pushes forward, trying to reach the safety of the mountain valleys. The party suffers from clashes with the Roc and the exhaustion of trying to outrun it. They eventually can't run any farther and have to face the creature. Upon retreating a safe distance from the village, the group makes preparations and unstops the bottle, releasing a Mind Flayer. Not completely understanding the creature, the group tries to communicate with it, but once they realize the foulness of the creature, they put a swift end to it. After defeating them, the party finds a chest containing a Triquetra Iron Flask.
