This morning, attorneys in the much-anticipated redistricting lawsuit presented oral arguments to the state Supreme Court. Mark Gaber works with the D.C.-based Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan organization that fights for voters’ rights. Gaber and his colleagues are representing the petitioners who claim that Wisconsin’s current voting maps are unconstitutional. Late last month, the Legislature's budget-writing committee voted along party lines to withhold grant funding from two federally-recognized tribes in northern Wisconsin.
