Secret Soul comes from the City of Manchester, UK — widely regarded as the birthplace of Northern Soul. Presented by Colin Skehan, a lifelong music enthusiast who worked as a Manchester club DJ throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. Colin was a resident DJ at the Soul Cellar Bar at the Birch Hotel in Ashton-under-Lyne, spinning records during the formative years of the Northern Soul movement. Between 1973 -1983 he worked behind the decks, and from 1974 to 1977 he also ran his own independent record
