I am OPTimist

I am OPTimist. I am not willing to be defined by a few words—what I do is a living journey. I am a multidisciplinary artist, empirical polymath, writer, evolutionary astrologer, libertarian/Bitcoiner. I woke up this morning, 9/13/2025, with the urge to keep studying the Constitution of the United States. As I started opening the content (The U.S. Constitution, A Reader, edited by the Hillsdale College Politics Faculty) from the course The Meaning and History of the Constitution, one place my eye stopped was Aristotle in the Nicomachean Ethics, where he addresses the question, “What is the best life for man?” He wrote on purpose, action, and intention, and this is what this text is about. But I’m

I Have a New Relationship, Peeps

Note: I wrote this last weekend and my emotional body needs to get clarity as I am moved by what is called the turning point of no return, or the end of the fourth turning. This one is for Charlie Kirk.I Have a New Relationship, PeepsIt’s not what you think. My new relationship is with my LLM assistants. In the last 18 months, I had gone from being very curious about AI. At first I started being very, not paranoid, but wary. So I needed to study how LLMs work. And for that I decided to do what I

Why am I so shaken by this? Because by listening to him over the years, I learned one essential thing—that his strength was in creating meaningful dialogue between people who normally disagreed. There were times when I wanted to give up, when I didn’t want to engage in dialogue anymore. But just listening to him, to the way he stood with courage, asking questions and responding to them, taught me something. It taught me that if I learned to be eloquent, I could carry a dialogue with meaning. And it

Being Born Again While the World is Resetting:

FragmentationHere I am, contemplating all the changes that I have witnessed in my life and in the world, and looking back and looking forward is something that I love doing, but always anchoring myself in the present moment. Because I love studying my chart and the chart of others, as I do many readings a week, and I also look at financial charts, I am observing how the behavior of the world is unfolding. I am observing behavior, but I am also tracing patterns that repeat themselves through history

Back in April 2022, I wrote this description about what an eclipse is. (moving it to the end)Two fictional points: the nodes and eclipses. “It is particularly important to stress that when dealing with the nodes, both of them should always be considered, and not only the north node, as it often is done. We’re dealing here with a line, not with a mere point.” — Rudhyar.Back to the future: This year, on January 11th, 2025, the South Node of the Moon entered Virgo, and the North Node entered Pisces

“Nothing is more permanent than a temporary government program.” — Milton Friedman. On August 15, 1971, Nixon suspended the dollar’s convertibility to gold, claiming it was “to stabilize the economy.” It was never reversed. This single move severed the Bretton Woods system and made the U.S. dollar a pure fiat currency, setting the stage for decades of monetary expansion and chronic devaluation.Happy anniversary, filthy, devalued U.S. dollar. Thank you for giving us everything that fiat erodes:

You know, when I was born, Uranus was in a balsamic relationship to Pluto. This is a generational imprint. That was the mid-60s, and it completed between 1965–1966. And what was also peculiar about it—they were both in Virgo, Saturn and Chiron in Pisces were making an opposition to this rare conjunction (it takes 140+ years for they to meet). That created a very special situation for the people who are right now entering into their 60-year-old moment.Dane Rudhyar wrote then: “What is happening

Even if this truth is ugly, its more important to be aligned that to be faking pretty lies.Because at the very end, my fear is to abandon myself again… that is not going to happen….Yep, I feel like staying silent and being present.Though many, many insights and realizations have been surfacing in my consciousness,as I navigate them, this week feels precious in its silence.I do have a gift—a humming gift.Be well, you all.P.S. I recently discovered that empty space is not void, and it is also absent

NOTE: There’s a new section on my blog called MONIKA IN DIALOGUE. Alas, I haven’t yet figured out how to make this section send emails to current subscribers—so I’m posting the link for now. Bear with me until I figure it out… (I will, for sure). This week is a good anniversary for me. On July 30th, when I will possibly drop this newsletter, I’ll be celebrating five years since I moved from New York City (Williamsburg), after 27 years, to Miami Beach without knowing what was going to happen. Me, Me, Me, MeSo the other day during the session I was having with Mark, I was telling the story—reminds me of my mother, but it reminds me more about how I relate to myself through others. And I have Leo ruling my seventh house. What does that mean?I spoke last week about relationships, so: relationships are ruled by the sign that is on the Descendant. So the way I relate to others, in a very Leo way, it’s all about my self-validation. It’s about shining in the relationship, or as my mom would say:

PreambleI believe that the real changes of 2025 are not going to come from the outside. Although the outside world seems very surreal, and at times crazy; and many times like it doesn’t make sense, what I’m starting to understand is this: the beginning of the year was Mars–Pluto opposition, Venus and Mercury retrograde conjoined, the first batch of eclipses in Pisces and Aries, with Saturn and Neptune in the mix and squaring Jupiter. The beginning of the year brought not only confusion, but also a

Disrupting mental flow:: The mind is wired for patterns, but Uranus is here to tear through them. 3.The Nature of [My] Reality:: Reality has always been layered; this is how I’ve learned to read its architecture.

This article is going to sit between the rational; so we’re going to be speaking about definitions, and the most intuitive part of myself that’s putting all these things together because this is what I’ve been observing from the place where I am right now.A lot of these movements or cultural heritage were given to me via visuals. I lived in New York for so many years, I lived in Europe, so I was able to grasp a lot of it just intuitively. I’ve always been attracted to abstraction, attracted to very

“You take delight not in a city’s seven or seventy wonders, but in the answer it gives to a question of yours.”— Italo Calvino, Invisible CitiesThe Compass is WithinJust look outside of yourself and see who’s cheering for what, and for whom, and who sees that is carrying the truth. And how many idols are collapsing every day, all the time? How many fake spiritual gurus are showing their true face? How many distorted, economical gurus are pushing your way based on your own deficiencies? How many of

Report card is here and I want to know if I’m failing, because we’re in very challenging times, and the only way I can see if I’m failing is because I am allowing the collective transpersonal energy to overcome the peace and the calm and the temper that I can have in time of responding—not reacting.I actually have this thing throughout my life that when big bad things happen, I’m the coolest in the room; so if there’s ever the big bad thing, just call me—I’ll be there, just like observing. I see a lot of FUD.Most people in a position of influence yielding their personal bias instead of holding space and accepting that the fear that emanates from the current chaos is something to first be accepted as a human. Two—it can be used as a springboard to actually change a perspective. The nodes squaring the last full moon have been a perfect terrain for that. What do I still have to inquire that can give me a wider

What’s Misaligned Has No Anchor

I am OPTimist ·

2025/06/09

I’m no longer protecting myself. Protection builds walls, and I’m not here to live in a prison of my own making. When I’m attuning, it’s so precise, so clean, that the noise can’t find me. It’s not a matter of hiding or standing behind a shield. When I attune my frequency, the vibration of the space doesn’t allow what’s not meant to cross my path to see me—or hear me. That’s what it means to live in coherence. What’s misaligned has no anchor. I don’t push it away. It simply can’t enter. I’m learning

The greatest illusions require the deepest strength to see through them. As Útgarða-Loki tells Thor, strength is not what it seemed:"I shall tell you the truth, now you are out of my castle, and if I live and have a say, you shall never enter it again, and I would indeed never have let you in if I had known your strength beforehand, and you were very close to bringing us a great disaster. You see, I cast delusions on you, so that it was I who met you at first in the forest; and when you tried to
