Anita Wan has worked in the cultural sector in the North East for nearly 20 years. She has worked for heritage, architecture, arts and funding organisations and throughout her roles, her passion has always centred around people, communities, and amplifying marginalised voices. Anita has been the Chair of The Angelou Centre, a Black feminist women’s organisation in Newcastle, since 2017. She is proud to work alongside an inspiring sisterhood of volunteers, staff and survivors to end violence
