382 - 90 Day TOW recap with Kyle of Cray Cray

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/17

Mary Payne talks with Kyle of 90 Day Fiance Cray Cray about this week’s episode of 90 Day TOW, aptly titled COLD FEET. Wow - we have a lot of feelings about Victor and Ellie as well as Sumit and Jenny. We can’t quite figure out if Evelin and Corey hate or love each other in real life and the question remains WHAT DID BINI DO? Seriously, what did he do? What happened at that house in Ethiopia? We share a love of Kenny and Armando and wish we had a whole wedding spin off about these two! Follow Kim

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/15

As most of you know, Erin is taking a break to deal with her mental health and we ask for love and support as she takes this time off. This week, Mary Payne is joined by Kimberly of A Date with Dateline podcast to talk about this week’s Life After Lockup episode (I’m Not In Love). We talk about Shawn’s series of lies and how he has taken Sara as a hostage. We felt REAL bad for Tia this week and hope she got that surgery and is thriving! We live for Daonte’s mom and Derrick and hope they get a spin

380 - Bravo Breakdown with Ryan Bailey

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/11

Erin is taking a podcast break for a while, so Mary Payne talks Bravo with Ryan Bailey of the So Bad It’s Good with Ryan Bailey podcast. Ryan studies these shows we all love and is always so fun to chat with! We talk about the current status of VPR and what may happen in the future. We also go over the Real Housewives of Potomac Reunion, Part One. And, of course we had to talk about Real Housewives of Salt Lake City! Just when we thought we might find out what exactly is going on in Mary’s church,

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/09

As most of you know, Erin is taking a break to deal with her mental health and we love and support her as she takes this time off. This week, Mary Payne is joined by Katie of A Date with Dateline podcast to talk about this week’s 90Day TOW (not “Tao”). We feel Sumit is out of options and we love the reverse psychology being played by Mother Sumit! We still want to know WHAT HAPPENED in Bini’s house when Ari was gone? We think Steven needs to hurry up if he’s going to fly around getting documents

378 - LALU with Kimberly of A Date with Dateline

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/08

Mary Payne is joined by Kimberly of A Date with Dateline podcast to talk about this week’s Life After Lockup episode, “Confessions of a Serial Liar." Wow, Stan is really leaning in to this whole “old man and his underwear” thing, right? Shawn and Sara go to Pound Town and then he tells her he actually DOES have kids (just 6) and WAS engaged to another inmate. Britney overreacts and Cousin Bink is hot. Lacey calls John, who has had a “makeunder," but at least he’s clean and has a new

376 - 90 Day TOW with Katie of A Date with Dateline

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/02

Mary Payne chats with “friend of the pod” Katie of A Date with Dateline podcast about 90 Day Fiance The Other Way: “Stop the Excuses!" Neither one of us watched the scene with Sumit’s parents and the nose holes and we are NOT sorry about it! We have LOTS of thoughts on Steven and Alina as well as Kenny and Armando. Can’t Kenny just get his sunset vows? We didn’t see much of Ellie and Victor but we know this - this is NOT the show these 2 (or the producers) were hoping to film. We don’t understand

375 - LALU recap with Amye Archer

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/11/02

Mary Payne chats with Bunkie Amye Archer about this week’s Life After Lockup, "Put a Ring On It." Amye lives for the Stan and Lisa segments and can’t wait for Lisa’s revenge! We feel happy that Nicolle Sr. and Tia look happy and healthy and feel sad that Daonte still thinks Nicolle Sr. will one day come back to him. We think Shawn and Sara’s mom look like a better match than Shawn and Sara... and we applaud Puppy’s resistance of Amber’s dance moves at the very brightly lit “club." And finally, we

374 - Bravo Breakdown With Keisha From The Libra Lounge

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/27

Erin is joined by our beloved Bunkie, Keisha of "The Libra Lounge With Keisha" podcast (click below to follow!). They talk about the first two parts of the RHOBH reunion in preparation for parts 3 & 4 - which they hope allow other people to speak, like Crystal. (Is she still on this couch? Does she need a snack? Why isn't anyone paying attention to her? #SaveCrystal) Keisha & Erin react to Dorit coming for Garcelle. Spoiler Alert: DON'T COME FOR GARCELLE. And they break down the many contradictions

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/26

Mary Payne & Erin recap this week's 90DF TOW, which highlights just how savage Mother Sumit can be (and we're here for it). Erin wonders if Sumit's hair is trying to reach the grease level of Jenny's, and MP would like a specific roach count in their filthy kitchen. Two Bunkie Trademarks emerge this week as MP described Ari's look and Erin discusses Binyam's sisters loving to torture her. Property Brother's Mouth - PBM (TM), and Other Peoples' Sisters - OPS (TM). Also, MP & Erin officially declare

372 - LALU recap (Poly Problems)

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/25

MP and Erin dive into this week’s Love After Lockup episode, Poly Problems. Yes, we are concerned about Nicolle Sr’s “jitters” and how Tia is slowly becoming The Godfather. This Lacey and Shane fakery is annoying to us but not as annoying as the fakery of Britney and Ray’s scenes. We feel for Kristianna’s mom, Tammy, and pray the demons let go of Terra so she can object at the wedding! And like last week, we can’t get enough of Lisa’s deadpan stare at the camera like Jim from the Office!Follow us on

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/21

Mary Payne chats with Tiffany Reese of the amazing podcast, Something Was Wrong. MP has chatted with Tiffany 2 other times on Payne in the Pod (episode 27 and 70) and feels lucky to talk to her again! They chat about the bonkers crazy story in Season 9 of SWW and how Season 10 will be different than past seasons. We also go off topic, as per usual, and talk about podcasts we love and the intersection between reality TV and true crime. Tiffany is a strong advocate for victims and we are thrilled for

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/18

MP and Erin talk about the shocking SHANE twist at the end of this week’s Love After Lockup episode! We applaud Lisa for her sleuthing skills and wonder by 4pm seems to be Stan’s magic hour? Erin thinks Britney’s story is totally fake and MP thinks Amber shouldn’t poke the bear that is Sammy and his C.Everett Koop facial hair. We pray that the demons stay away from Kristiana and wonder how often Brittany goes swimming in her jeans. Timestamp: Chit chat ends around 15:20.Follow us on Twitter &

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/14

Mary Payne & Erin review the week in Bravo, and Good Lord, bless this mess because there's so much going on! We can't believe how low Candiace is going with her insults on Potomac, but we were glad to see the shockingly calm (and dare we say, mature?) conversation between Brooks Marks & Jen Shah on Salt Lake. Over on Vanderpump Rules, James Kennedy continues to win us over with his sweet proposal to Raquel. (Yay for love!! Let's have a puppy party!!). And of course, we dive into the big moments from

367 - 90 Day Fiance TOW Recap: The Other Woman

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/12

Erin & Mary Payne discuss the wreckage of every relationship on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way - except for Kenny & Armando! We still believe in their love! Will Evelin actually kick Corey out? Will Jenny be literally eaten by wild monkeys? Who knows. But we do hope SteVen WITH A V gets run over by a truck before he can deep-throat another Turkish chocolate. Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/11

Mary Payne and Erin talk about the Life After Lockup episode “Not One To Mess With”. We are disgusted by Stan’s gray banana hammock but LOVE Lisa’s “Jim from the Office” stare at the camera. We continue to be grossed out by Mouth Hole and continue to be intrigued by Britney’s alter ego. We don’t love Puppy or Amber’s boyfriends but we do love Nika, Donate’s mom! And, we get a field report from our LALU special correspondent, Kimberly from A Date with Dateline. She’s out there doing the Lord’s work

364 - 90 Day Fiance TOW Recap: Proceed With Caution

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/05

It’s the glorious return of Erin to the podcast! This time for a recap of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way (Proceed With Caution) with Mary Payne, Erin's real life #SisterWifeForLife. There's lots to catch up on this season, but Erin's main questions are: Why does Jenny still believe Sumit will marry her? And how did her hair get even DIRTIER this season? Who is this Victor character, really? Can Ari please just be left on this Yoni Steamer forever so we never have to deal with her again? Also: Erin

363 - It’s the return of Erin and a LALU recap!

Pink Shade: Reality TV with Mary Payne ·

2021/10/04

It’s the glorious return of Erin to the podcast! Erin is so grateful that she was able to take the time to focus on her mental health and encourages anyone feeling they need a break to take one. She thanks Mary Payne as well as all the other podcasters who stepped in to help during her absence. But most importantly, we had to talk about these characters on this week’s LALU (The Sober Truth). We aren’t thrilled with Lacey and Shane’s gym acting this week! We too are worried about Nicolle Sr. We love
