"หน้าที่เรามีแค่รู้ซื่อๆ ร่างกายเคลื่อนไหวรู้ซื่อๆ จิตใจเคลื่อนไหวเปลี่ยนแปลงรู้ซื่อๆ รู้ซื่อๆ คือรู้แล้วไม่ไปปรุงแต่งต่อ ถ้าปรุงแต่งต่อเขาเรียกรู้ไม่ซื่อ อย่างจิตเรามีความโกรธเกิดขึ้น รู้ซื่อๆ คือรู้ว่าตอนนี้จิตมีความโกรธ ถ้ารู้ไม่ซื่อ ก็คือเห็นจิตมีความโกรธ ทำอย่างไรจะหาย นี่ชักจะเจ้าเล่ห์แล้ว ชักหาวิธี ถ้าคิดถึงว่าจะทำวิธีไหนดี วิธีไหนดี อันนี้เสียท่าหมดแล้ว ฟุ้งซ่าน ไม่มีวิธีอะไรดีหรอก มีแต่รู้ซื่อๆ ตรงที่คิดว่าอย่างนั้นน่าจะดี อย่างนี้น่าจะดี อันนั้นล่ะที่เรียกว่าสีลัพพตปรามาส
