In this episode we found out a little-known fact one in every five courses in Scotland are made up of only nine holes. Going back generations, these short-form layouts were at the heart of villages and town, the lifeblood of the community where people could gather and enjoy a game for all levels of ability. It seems appropriate this trail would be called 'Honest & Short'. We also explore Scotland’s less obvious which are are those venues that perhaps sit in the shadow of siblings, go under the radar

While Scotland may be famed for its championship links layouts, the quality of golf within the nation’s major cities is notable. Indeed, the highest concentrations of golf courses in Scotland are around Glasgow (over 90 courses) and the capital city of Edinburgh (over 65 courses).
