We debate our favorite movies, explore some truly bizarre theories, question reality, share plenty of laughs and

Hot Rod (2007)

The Confused Breakfast ·

2026/09/10

2007’s Hot Rod. Is this one of the most perfectly stupid comedies of the 2000s, or is it really just a bunch of hilarious Lonely Island sketches loosely stitched together into a movie? Why does Andy Samberg falling down a mountain somehow get funnier the longer it goes? Is “Cool Beans” comedy genius or absolute nonsense? Is Will Arnett the ultimate douchebag boyfriend? Is Danny McBride stealing nearly every scene he’s in? Grab your Jofa helmet, drink some green tea, reinforce the takeoff ramp (or

Rat Race (2001)

The Confused Breakfast ·

2026/09/03

We’re racing back to 2001 for Rat Race. Is this an underrated comedy classic, or do you need some serious nostalgia for this kind of dumb, over-the-top slapstick to still work? Does the movie’s decision to keep its foot on the gas for nearly two hours make it more entertaining, or eventually just exhausting? How the hell do these people commit so many felonies and never have the cops come looking for them? And did the Baja Men really think “Rat Race” was going to be their follow-up hit to “Who Let

We’re ending our Summer of ’70s with one of the most controversial movies we’ve ever covered: A Clockwork Orange. Is this an artsy masterpiece or just shock for the sake of it? When you think of this movie, you don’t remember the plot – you remember the first time you realized a real human being was actually doing all that insane stunt work on your VHS copy. Is this the most believable “one guy vs. twenty dudes” fighting ever put on film? Does the awful dubbing ruin the vibe, or is it secretly the thing that makes this movie so endlessly rewatchable? Is Elaine the most brutally screwed shop owner we’ve ever covered? We tackle all of this and more as we decide whether
