Arthur Lijten is a top level Dutch musician who was our guest at Percussieschool Bracumba. Arthur was willing to perform with our daughter Renee Aben. He heard her sing this song only on a demo. Renee only met Arthur once. Without rehearsing together, this beautiful piece of music came out. Thank you Arthur for sharing your talent so gracefully. We are so grateful. Thank you, Renee. We are so proud of you.

Leo Thijssen als "Bartholomeus" bij Bracumba. Sjonge, wat hebben we genoten en gelachen.Als onderdeel van zijn act speelt Leo ook nog eens op een flink aantal verschillende instrumenten. Één daarvan is de mooie Hang Drum.Door een ongeluk is de basnoot niet langer bruikbaar. Dat is zeker jammer, maar desondanks viel de Hang en Leo's mooie spel erop, bij onze gasten enorm in de smaak. Dank Leo !

Allemaal de schuld van Ron van Stratum, die vorig jaar bij ons als gast zulke mooie dingen speelde met o.a. deze ostinaat. Vanaf dat moment wilde ik zoiets dolgraag ook leren !Alleen een lijf en geest van zestig plus heeft daar even wat tijd voor nodig. Ik zie het filmpje als een heel redelijke tussenstand, met nog een lange weg te gaan, alvorens het muziek zal worden. Maar ga ik doorduwen tot aan

Tsja, ik denk weer een filmpje voor slechts een klein publiek. De "beroeps" trommelaar weet en kan dit al. En de liefhebbers die hun vrije tijd vullen door met veel plezier percussie muziek te spelen, zullen het waarschijnlijk een beetje zonde van hun schaarse tijd vinden.Toch denk ik dat er ruim voldoende winst voor je is om deze materie eens aandacht te geven.

A practicing tool with in the left channel the conga, and the right channel the surdo. Two of our students are working on a famous song from Joni Mitchel ; "Dreamland". For the song they are creating an intro of their own, leaning heavily on these standard patterns.Met Tanja en Angelique zijn we in de les bezig met deze oefeningen. In eerste instantie een "huiswerk" filmpje voor beide dames. Nu ook gepubliceerd voor wie verder maar wil.

MUSIC Copyright 1998 (M 560030371).The second time round, in the break, the scatter function of the TR-8 is used.
