Walk soft on the croft

A new tale from the wee croft in the Outer Hebrides.

We often get asked how we came to be here? it is quite a change in lifestyles for a couple of 50 year olds.

We, that is myself Chris and husband Andrew are ethical spinners and rug weavers, working from a small croft in the Outer Hebrides. We have a busy facebook page https://www.facebook.com/coloursfromthecroft and are often asked about the techniques we use in the spinning and weaving as well as questions on just what it is like to up sticks in your 50's and move to such a remote home (terrifying I think is the word). We have a no-kill flock of old and much loved sheep, rescue dogs, cats, hens and ducks
