Blake is a Master’s graduate from the College of Agriculture, University of Saskatchewan and the Agriculture Research chair at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Blake has expertise in nutrient interactions in the soil-water-plant system, precision management of saline soils, applied data management, agronomic evaluation of fertilizers and amendments. With a deep-rooted passion for innovation and a relentless drive for excellence, Blake spearheads groundbreaking research initiatives that push the boundaries

David Rourke is an Adjunct Professor for the Russ Edwards School of Agriculture & Environment at Assiniboine College. He has consistently chosen the path less traveled, forging new frontiers in farming. David's curiosity led him to pursue a Master's degree in Agricultural Plant Science. In 1980, he and his wife embarked on a venture, leasing 300 acres of farmland. From this beginning, the Rourke family farms now spans 6000 acres, nestled just south of Brandon, Manitoba.

Mary-Jane Orr is the General Manager for Manitoba Beef & Forage Initiatives Inc where she leads a dedicated team to advance Manitoba beef and forage industries through engaging stakeholders, evaluating on-farm innovation, and extension for sustainability of farmers, the public, and the environment! She Joins Brent and they discuss recent research and future goals with cover crops and intercropping.
