We're Not Finished Yet

New Hope for Today ·

2026/10/05

Send us Fan Mail God has done great things in the past, but past victories do not remove our present responsibility. In this message from Judges 1, Pastor Matt challenges the church with a simple truth: we’re not finished yet. Israel had experienced God’s power, inherited the land, and seen victory after victory, but there was still work left to do. The assignment outlived Joshua. The obstacles did not cancel God’s command. What Israel chose to leave unfinished eventually became a limitation ...

Drive Them Away

New Hope for Today ·

2026/09/28

Send us Fan Mail Abram had obeyed God and prepared the sacrifice, but before the covenant was confirmed, the birds came down. Scripture says, “Abram drove them away.” What do we do when we have prayed and obeyed, yet the answer has not come? In this episode of New Hope for Today, Pastor Matt Gravely challenges the church to guard what God has entrusted to it while waiting for Him to work. Bitterness, gossip, and compromise can consume a church’s unity and witness when we leave them unchalleng...

When God Becomes Better Than Life

New Hope for Today ·

2026/09/21

Send us Fan Mail David’s life had been turned upside down, his future was uncertain, and the wilderness around him was dry. Yet his deepest desire was not for easier circumstances. He wanted God. In this episode, we examine David’s declaration in Psalm 63:3: “Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.” Have we learned to praise God only for what He can change, or have we discovered that God Himself is better than anything this life can offer? When the heart tru...

Conviction in the Saint

New Hope for Today ·

2026/09/14

Send us Fan Mail What happens when a Christian becomes comfortable with something that still grieves the Holy Ghost? Conviction does not end when we get saved. The same Holy Ghost who convicted us of our need for Christ now dwells within us, revealing what does not belong in the life of a believer. In this message from Ephesians 4:25–32, we examine the difference between simply feeling bad about sin and allowing godly sorrow to produce real repentance. Scripture calls us to more than regret. ...

Conviction in the Sinner

New Hope for Today ·

2026/09/07

Send us Fan Mail What does it really mean to be convicted by the Holy Ghost? In John 16, Jesus said the Holy Ghost would reprove the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Biblical conviction is more than feeling guilty about something we have done—it brings us face-to-face with our true condition before God. In this message, “Conviction in the Sinner,” we examine how the Holy Ghost exposes our sin, strips away confidence in our own righteousness, and confronts us with the certainty of ju...

More Than Knowing

New Hope for Today ·

2026/08/31

Send us Fan Mail There is a difference between knowing about God and truly knowing Him. In “More Than Knowing,” we continue through Psalm 63 and discover David’s desperate desire to see God’s power and glory, even in the wilderness. David was not satisfied with yesterday’s victories or borrowed experiences. He wanted God to make Himself evident again. Your circumstances may have changed, but the direction of your heart does not have to. The wilderness might not be something God immediately re...

Desparate for God

New Hope for Today ·

2026/08/24

Send us Fan Mail What does it really mean to be desperate for God? In Psalm 63, David finds himself in a wilderness, betrayed, rejected, grieving, and facing an uncertain future. Yet what is remarkable is what David does not ask for. He does not cry for his throne, revenge, restored reputation, or even relief from his circumstances. He cries for God. In this message, we examine David’s declaration, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee.” His pursuit begins with knowing God personall...

Send us Fan Mail Right in the Middle of a Miracle | Ezekiel 37 What do you do when God has started working, but you still cannot see the finished result? In Ezekiel 37, God places Ezekiel in a valley filled with dry bones—a picture of loss, defeat, and hopelessness. Yet right in the middle of that valley, God begins doing what no man could ever accomplish. Bones come together. Sinews and flesh appear. Everything begins to look alive. But there is still no breath. This message, “Right in the M...

The Lord Was With Him

New Hope for Today ·

2026/07/13

Send us Fan Mail What is the difference between doing what is right—and truly having the presence and power of God upon your life? Among the rulers recorded in 1 and 2 Kings, Hezekiah stands apart. The Bible does not merely say that he did right in the sight of the Lord. It declares, “And the LORD was with him.” In this message from 2 Kings 18:1–7, we examine three defining marks of a life God can use: • Worship that removes every rival • Faith that rests fully in God • A relationship that re...

Slow Fade

New Hope for Today ·

2026/07/06

Send us Fan Mail In this message from New Hope Baptist Church, we look at the sobering story of Eutychus in Acts 20:7–12. He was in the room, close enough to hear the preaching, but positioned in a dangerous place. “Slow Fade” is a warning to every believer and every church. Spiritual downfall rarely begins with a sudden fall. It often starts with distance, continues through drifting, and eventually becomes visible damage. But thank God, the story does not end with the fall. There is hope in ...

From Carmel to the Church

New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/29

Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we walk through 1 Kings 18:30 through 38 and look at Elijah repairing the altar of the Lord on Mount Carmel. The altar was not required for God to answer by fire, but it became the place where the people were called near, the sacrifice was laid down, the water was poured out, and God’s power was put on display. This message confronts a hard reality in today’s church. The altar has often been abused, manipulated, or neglected. But abuse does not mean abandonme...

God Does What Man Cannot

New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/25

Send us Fan Mail When man's strength runs out, God's power is just beginning. In Acts 12, Peter is chained in prison with no human hope of escape. The church can't rescue him, so they do the only thing they can—they pray. Then God intervenes. Discover how God waits until our ability is exhausted, why He isn't limited by what limits us, and how He can do in a moment what man cannot do in a lifetime. New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/22

Send us Fan Mail What do you do when the winds are contrary, the waves are rising, and life feels heavier than you ever imagined? In this Father's Day message from Matthew 14:28-29, we explore the simple yet life-changing command of Jesus: "Come." Peter didn't receive an explanation. He didn't receive a detailed plan. He received one word from Christ and had to decide whether he would trust the voice of Jesus more than the storm around him. Whether you're a father carrying the weight of leade...

The Church Grows

New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/18

Send us Fan Mail What does a healthy, growing church really look like? In Acts 11, we discover that church growth is far more than increasing attendance. The believers at Antioch grew through the power of the Gospel, encouragement among the saints, faithful service, and sacrificial giving. As ordinary believers shared Christ, strengthened one another, and gave according to their ability, God expanded their influence far beyond their own city. This message challenges us to move beyond spectato...

New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/15

Send us Fan Mail When your burden for God becomes greater than your dependence on God, you're headed for Midian. Moses saw the suffering of Israel and was moved to act. The burden was real. The calling was real. But burden alone could not accomplish what only God could do. Before Moses would stand before Pharaoh, God would spend forty years stripping away self-reliance, pride, and human strength in the wilderness of Midian. In this powerful message from Exodus 2, discover why God often leads ...

Am I Standing in God's Way?

New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/11

Send us Fan Mail When God begins to move, will we follow Him or stand in His way? In Acts 11, Peter returns from the home of Cornelius and immediately faces questions from those who struggled to accept what God was doing. Their focus was not on changed lives, the work of the Holy Spirit, or the spread of the Gospel. Their concern was that God had worked outside the boundaries of their traditions. Rather than responding with pride or defensiveness, Peter carefully explains how God had led him ...

When Order Breaks

New Hope for Today ·

2026/06/08

Send us Fan Mail Temptation is not a new struggle. It began in the Garden of Eden when Satan challenged the authority of God's Word and convinced Eve to listen to a different voice. What followed was not simply a bad decision but the collapse of God's order for the home and for humanity. In this message from Genesis 3:1-7, we examine how temptation gains ground when God's Word is questioned, God's voice is ignored, and personal desire becomes more important than obedience. We will also look a...

In this episode of “New Hope for Today,” we dive into Genesis 2:25 and uncover God’s design for marriage, openness, vulnerability, and real connection. This is more than a conversation about physical intimacy. It’s about broken homes, hidden struggles, emotional distance, and the kind of revival that starts inside the family. If the home falls apart, everything else follows. It’s time for the church to stop whis...
