The Celebrated Singing Cactus of the Yucca Desert

The Podcast Against Giygas: An Earthbound Story ·

2026/10/05

Ninten awakens from a wonderful dream to find a big day ahead of him... which includes plenty more walking through a miserable desert, more deadly alien-controlled robots, a kooky old-timer with a tank and a method of keeping trespassers off his property that's banned by international law, and worst of all, the grand entrance of their most formidable foe yet, the terrible gargantuan Duncan bots! And guess, dear reader, what it does NOT include? Any sign of that stinkin' singing cactus ANYWHER...

No Crying Until the Ending

The Podcast Against Giygas: An Earthbound Story ·

2026/09/28

While looking through George Moley's diary, Ninten catches a glimpse of their sworn enemy's ultimate plan: a horrific mind-control machine called the Slave Engine, which seems to involve that famous scream-queen of the silver screen herself, Janet Rosemary. Maybe she has psionic power somehow, like Ninten and Ana do? Heck, the journal even has her full address way out in Ellay Town. Their next destination is abundantly clear... That's right, it's the hot, dusty, dry Yucca Desert, to find a ca...

The Chosen Four heroes of Magicant have their mandate from Queen Mary; go and find five more bars of that strange melody! Too bad the Paradise Line’s train tracks to the next town are mysteriously blockaded by a random avalanche! And if that’s not bad enough, Lloyd also has a sudden bout of low self-esteem and decides, maybe he’s not all that useful to the mission, and maybe it’s for the best if he goes back to Podunk? Teddy, however, disagrees. Lloyd isn’t a weak fighter at all, he ju...

Ninten, Ana, and Lloyd head to Merrysville next, home of the world-famous Duncan Inc. flagship factory… which has recently shut down. Now the town is a shell of its former glory, run-down and overrun by local gangs. Well, just one gang, actually, but the biggest, baddest, meanest gang of them all… the Black Bloods! And when Lloyd accidentally runs afoul of one of their numbers, the Chosen three-out-of-four find themselves face to face with B.B. gang’s formidable leader… Ladies and gentlemen....

Pollyana Cherrycoke, or Ana for Short

The Podcast Against Giygas: An Earthbound Story ·

Pippi has been located, and the… ugh, pink hat is safe and sound. The way is now clear to Youngtown, where Ninten and Lloyd meet the next member of their ragtag team: Pollyana Cherrycoke, or Ana for short! The polar opposite of Ninten, Ana is cheerful, chatty, and optimistic to a fault. She’s always singing a song and likes talking to birds. She’s bound to get on Ninten’s nerves any moment now, but he and Lloyd are gonna need all the help they can get from her when something makes the animals...

The next leg of Ninten and Lloyd’s journey leads to Youngtown, but before they can even set foot in the strange town full of children, the hostile neighborhood watch gives them an ultimatum: find one of their own who went missing in the nearby town of Spookane, or suffer a faceful of slingshot-pebbles. Far easier said than done, once the boys discover the true nature of Spookane: the town is a huge cemetery, and its residents are all undead! Worst of all, there appears to be a sinister ...

After a rough night against robots and aliens and pulling Lloyd out of the fire, there’s nothing Ninten would like more than to sleep it off and forget that it ever happened. But happen it all certainly did, and the strange lady’s voice in the sky is so insistent of the great journey before the two boys that she even tells their dads about it! Now, armed with the mysterious legacy of Ninten’s great ancestor, they have no choice but to pack plenty of inhalers and a twenty-three pack of fortifi...
