Solarpunk Presents

Solarpunk Presents is a podcast that explores the people and projects working on bringing us a better world today.Solarpunk is more than just an idea, more than just an aesthetic. Those inspire us, but where do we go from there? How do we put the values and visions described in solarpunk fiction and art into action in the here and now? What does that look like, translated into the reality of our present moment, into the places and spaces where we’re at? Hosts Ariel Kroon and Aleya Jobson are

This week, we talk to Audrey Peterman, a Jamaican activist who played a key role in making a home for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) in the great outdoors in the United States. However, Audrey fought to combat this stereotype and has written extensively on the matter. We sit down and listen to the wonderful stories and great wisdom derived from years of activism.Audrey's

In this Carbon Neutral Strike Update, I am without cancer! Yay! Infected lymph node... so kinda gross but hey, not cancer. I am the grateful. I talk about the writing I've done of both Bachelor Thesis (not finished, don't get excited for me) and a story for a magazine. The word: "Just" and what that means.Hope you enjoy!Wikipedia Article on Jamaican Political Violence and the C.I.A:

On this episode from Season 9 of Solarpunk Presents, we sit down with Frank Holleman from Fork Ranger - the fact is that the top 10% richest people on the planet are responsible for a large majority of consumer emissions and so eating for the planet can make a difference when we know that 1/3rd of our emissions are based on our food system. Frank breaks down the details of what it means to make great food choices, and that it's not all or nothing; you can take many paths towards being more aware of

8.10 Solarpunk Presents: Idealism versus Pragmatism

Solarpunk Presents ·

2026/08/19

In this episode we welcome back none other than Christina De La Rocha, former cohost of Solarpunk Presents, in order to discuss the benefits of Idealism versus Pragmatism. To us, idealism is aiming for the highest goals and accepting nothing less, while pragmatism includes compromise and just accepting the job as done even if it's only 75% of the goal. Which one should we go for as Solarpunks? And is it a binary or, like so often happens, is the binary false?Solarpunk Presents Patreon:

In this week's recap, I return to striking as much as possible outside of food and water after seeing Bluesky protesters who no doubt enriched oil companies when they gathered so what's the difference made? I think protests should be done from home. I carry on throughout the week working on an onboarding game for Fastfrwrd, pushing my creativity further, and exploring the ways in which I can improve my situation. We end the week with an issue requiring the authorities and an overview of the traumas

Possible Trigger Warning. In this episode I try to make a dancey house song, I go into more details about my past in Germany, I share a couple poems I wrote about the experience, and describe some of the issues I have faced since then when presented with a reality post a blood ritual using womb blood to ward off fascism and a possible timeline where it did not go unnoticed. Oh, and Harry Potter scar pains are real. It's a bit neurospicy but also slightly interesting.Website:
