Forgiveness is saying, "You're a pathetic excuse for a human being, but I choose not to let you occupy space in my head anymore." It's like throwing a rotten tomato at their ego and walking away with a smug grin. They can't have power over you unless you give it to them, and honestly, they're not worth the energy or the price of admission to your mental circus.
