Urban Civility Course

Preventing something from happening or stopping someone from doing something is called "prevention." It is the best way to avoid problems. "Intervention," on the other hand, is the most expensive way to solve a problem. After a tragic event, people often try to talk and find solutions, but by then, the most damage has already been done.

In week 4, we will focus on mastering the Dialogue Protocol, which is designed to equip us with essential skills for effective and integrity-driven communication in our journey with God. This will cover strategic and game-day dialogue, providing crucial insights for communication in various contexts.

Week two discusses No-Fault Dialogue and how we should conduct ourselves when advocating, teaching & informing others. As Christian advocates, we are not present to dictate, but rather to complement the narrative to contribute to forming healthy communities characterized by honor and respect. Week one of our Online Urban Civility Course is an orientation to help direct our students on what they will be learning in this course and what to expect. This is a six-week course. Students should familiarize themselves with the textbook by Author HRH Clyde Rivers titled 'When Histories Collide We Don't Have To.'The SOG Academy course is worth 5 credit hours. The course takes 6 weeks to complete.Course 1 hosts several events in urban communities and Native American communities throughout the year
